What Happens After My Meet N Greet?
Shortly after your Meet N Greet, you’ll receive a personalized Welcome Email containing everything you need to officially get started as a Hands N Paws client.
This email will guide you through the next steps, including accessing your client account and preparing for future services.
What Do I Need To Complete Before My First Service?
Before scheduling care, there are a few important items you’ll need to complete within your client account.
Complete Your Personal & Home Information
Start by filling out your personal and home information.
This includes details such as:
- Home access instructions
- Emergency contacts
- Veterinary information
- Household information

Create Your Pet Profiles
Next, create a profile for each pet in your household.
Your pet profiles help our team understand exactly how to care for your pets and should include:
- Feeding instructions
- Medication instructions
- Potty routines
- Walking preferences
- Personality traits
- Behavioral notes
- Any other important care details

Add Billing Information
Before services can be scheduled, please add a valid payment method to your account.

Request Services
Once your account is complete, you’re ready to begin requesting pet care services.
All scheduling is completed directly through your client account. Simply request services whenever care is needed, and our team will review and confirm your request.

Download the App & Enable Notifications
Before your first service, we highly recommend downloading the Precise Petcare app and enabling notifications on your phone.
This allows you to stay connected throughout every visit and receive real-time updates when:
- Your caregiver is on the way
- Your caregiver has arrived
- Your Pet Care Journal has been sent
Many clients find these updates provide an extra layer of peace of mind, especially during their first few visits with our team.
Do I Need A Lockbox?
If lockbox access was discussed during your Meet N Greet, you’ll need to purchase and install a lockbox before services begin.
Once installed:
- Place a working spare key inside.
- Create a unique lockbox code.
- Add the code and instructions to your client account.
This allows our team to reliably access your home whenever services are scheduled.

How Can I Prepare My Home?
A little preparation goes a long way toward ensuring a smooth first visit.
We recommend:
- Making sure home access instructions in your account are accurate
- Ensuring food, treats, medications, leashes, and supplies are easy to locate
- Updating pet profiles with detailed care instructions
- Labeling important items if needed
- Confirming emergency contacts and veterinarian information are current
The goal is simple: help our team walk in confidently and focus entirely on caring for your pets.
What Should I Include In My Pet Care Notes?
One of the most helpful things you can do is tell us where important items are located.
Examples include:

What Happens On The Day Of My First Visit?
When your service begins, you’ll receive updates every step of the way.
On-The-Way Notification
You’ll receive a notification when your caregiver is heading to your home.
Arrival Notification
You’ll receive another notification when the visit officially begins and your pets are in our care.
Pet Care Journal
After the visit, you’ll receive a detailed Pet Care Journal that may include:
- Photos and videos
- A written summary
- Potty and feeding updates
- Behavioral observations
- Any important notes from your caregiver
These journals are one of the ways we help provide peace of mind while you’re away.
How Does Communication Work During Visits?
If everything goes smoothly, you’ll primarily hear from us through your Pet Care Journal updates.
If something unexpected arises, our caregiver will first consult our internal leadership team for guidance.
If additional communication is needed, we’ll contact you directly by phone or text to discuss the situation.
Your pets’ safety, comfort, and well-being always come first.
What Happens After My First Visit?
After your visit is complete, you can:
- Read your Pet Care Journal
- Leave a rating
- Leave a comment for your caregiver
- Review past journals within your client account
Many clients continue using Hands N Paws simply by requesting services whenever care is needed through their client account.
