Not Receiving Notifications
If you’re not receiving notifications, here are a few things to check:
1. Check Your Phone Settings
Make sure notifications are enabled for the Precise Petcare app:
iOS:
- Go to Settings → Precise Petcare → Notifications
- Make sure Allow Notifications is turned ON
Android:
- Go to Settings → Apps → Precise Petcare → Notifications
- Make sure notifications are turned ON
2. Check Notification Settings Inside the App
- Open the Precise Petcare app
- Go to Account
- Make sure Receive Push Notifications is turned ON
3. Refresh the App
If notifications still aren’t working:
- Log out of the app and log back in
- Close and reopen the app
4. Still Not Working?
- Try deleting and reinstalling the app (this is a highly effective fix)
- Important updates will still be sent to your email on file
What Notifications Should I Expect?
The app sends a combination of push notifications (to your phone) and emails, depending on the type of update.
Here’s what you can expect:
Push Notifications (Real-Time Updates)
These are sent directly to your phone and keep you updated in real time:
- “On the Way” alerts when your sitter is heading to your home
- Arrival notifications when your sitter begins the visit
- Pet Care Journals and journal comments
These are the most important notifications for staying in the loop during your pet’s visits.
Email Notifications
These are typically used for confirmations and account-related updates:
- Service confirmations and cancellations
- Billing updates (invoices, reminders, payment confirmations)
- Pet Care Journals (as a backup to push notifications)
App Crashing or Running Slowly
If the app is freezing, crashing, or running slowly, try the following:
- Make sure your app is updated to the latest version
- Log out and log back in
- Restart your device
Android Only (if needed)
- Go to Settings → Apps → Precise Petcare → Storage
- Tap Clear Data (you’ll need to log back in)
Last Resort (Highly Effective)
- Delete the app
- Restart your device
- Reinstall the app from the App Store or Google Play
Data Not Syncing Properly
If your schedule, updates, or information aren’t loading correctly upon saving:
- Close and reopen the app (this triggers syncing)
- Check your internet connection (WiFi or cellular)
iOS Only:
