This guide covers everything you need to know about your pay schedule, how to access your earnings, and the opportunities available to increase your income.
Your Pay Structure
- Base Commission: You earn a 50% commission on every pet service you complete. This means your base pay is 50% of the total amount the client pays for that service.
- Payment Schedule: Pay is distributed bi-weekly every Friday via direct deposit.
- Paystubs & Taxes: Your paystubs will be available in the online portal 1-2 business days after payday. If you have trouble accessing, please contact JC Tax Pros. Remember, as an independent contractor, no taxes are withheld from your pay. Link to Your Tax Guide Here
Opportunities for Higher Pay
We believe in rewarding your extra effort. Here’s how you can earn more:
- Last-Minute Service (booked with less than 24 hours’ notice): +$10 per service
- Holiday Surcharge:+$15 per service on major holidays.
- New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve
- Additional Pets: +$3.50 per pet for households with more than two pets.
- Monthly Commission-Raise Contest: Engage in fun monthly challenges in the

Tracking Your Earnings
Before Payday:
You can view your estimated earnings at any time in Precise Petcare.
- Go to Resources > Reports.
- Run a report for your desired time period to see earnings for accepted visits.
On Payday:
You can see your finalized earnings in three ways:
- Check your bank account for the direct deposit.
- Go to Resources > Payroll in your Precise Petcare account.
- View your detailed paystub in the portal (available 1-2 days after payday).
Pro Tip: For a detailed breakdown of a specific pay period, go to Resources > Payroll and click the hyperlinked dollar amount in the “Visit Pay” column.
Managing Your Direct Deposit
- Setting Up initially: You provided your bank information during the digital worker onboarding process before starting your first services.
- Changing Your Bank Account: To update your direct deposit information, please click here and fill out the form. It will be sent directly to our payroll provider. We recommend following up with them to confirm receipt.
Accessing Your Paystubs
- Log in to the Paystub Portal.
- First Time? Check your email for a registration link from JC Tax Pros (sent after you completed onboarding). Click the link to create your portal login credentials.
- Can’t Find the Email? Contact JC Tax Pros directly and request they resend the registration link or that they provide you paystubs directly.
Please Note: Paystubs for the most recent payday take 1-2 business days to appear in the portal. If you still don’t see it by the Tuesday after payday, please contact the payroll team at JC Tax Pros.
